Rail

Simulation, computer vision, condition monitoring and asset analytics for rolling stock, track, infrastructure and rail operations.

Rail systems create engineering and operational workloads across vehicle aerodynamics and structures, wheel/rail interaction, traction and thermal systems, track and overhead-line inspection, remote condition monitoring and fleet planning. Data arrives from vehicles, wayside equipment and maintenance systems over long asset lifecycles.

Hyperion provides on-premises simulation, vision, telemetry and multi-user AI platforms that can be integrated with established engineering and asset-management processes.

Vehicle and infrastructure simulation

X2160 AxiVector supports two-node CFD, FEA and MPI workloads for rolling stock, structures and engineering studies. Validate numerical accuracy before scaling and measure the real communication-to-compute ratio. Use campaign scheduling for operating envelopes and uncertainty studies, preserving geometry, mesh, material, boundary and solver versions.

Inspection and perception

X1250 AxiOverseer supports multi-camera and telemetry processing for track, overhead line, vehicle and depot inspection. Version calibration, route/location, speed, lighting, product and annotation. Measure defect-level performance and localisation at operational acquisition rates; handle missing or stale data explicitly and retain competent review.

Predictive maintenance

Join vibration, temperature, current, pressure, event, usage and maintenance outcomes to a stable asset identity. Evaluate warning lead, false interventions and missed events by fleet and operating regime. Use transparent rules as a baseline and keep an operational fallback if the model or communications fail.

Shared AI and fleet analytics

X2260 AxiCrucible provides four 96GB GPUs across two nodes for separated development, validation and service workloads. Scheduler or Kubernetes allocation, central identity, protected storage and monitoring support multiple engineering teams. Analytical and optimisation outputs should state uncertainty and operational constraints.

Safety and assurance boundary

AI and HPC can inform inspection, planning and maintenance, but safety-related decisions require the applicable rail engineering, standards and authorisation processes. Do not treat a general-purpose server as a certified train-control or protection system. Define human review, degraded operation, change control and rollback before service introduction.
